Removal Stock System
  1. Cut the stock exhaust system just after the down-pipe.
  2. Cut the stock exhaust on the back side of the muffler.
  3. The rest of the exhaust should be easily removed from the hangers.
  4. If you want to keep the stock exhaust you can un-bolt the system.
  5. Do not cut the upper part of the stock section that bolts to the turbo. This part does not get replaced.
Note: Do not tighten clamps until the following points have been checked
    1. Ensure that no part of the system is in direct ‘metal to metal’ contact with chassis or external paint. Failure to check this will result in noise or damage to vehicle or exhaust system.
    2. Do not over tighten clamp bolts. This may result in deformation of the pipe and will make it hard to separate the joints at a later date.
    3. The GM 6.6L Duramax uses a two-piece down-pipe the upper part cannot be removed.
Installing Rapid Flow System
  1. Bolt the new Rapid Flow down-pipe to the upper part of the stock turbo-pipe
  2. Hang the new muffler using the provided hanger #4
  3. Place the adhesive backed anti-slip material inside the clamp holding the rear of the muffler.
  4. Hang the tailpipe using the provided #5 hanger
  5. Ensure tail pipe is in desired position and will not damage or blacken paint on vehicle
  6. Hang the cross member section making sure the center of the bend is inline with the center of the cross member use #3 and #2 hangers.
  7. Measure the length from the cross member pipe to the downpipe and cut a length of straight pipe to the size needed.
  8. Install all the remaining clamps onto all the joints in the new exhaust system
  9. The exhaust system is now installed and the vehicle is ready for a test drive. During testing be alert for any vibration or uncommon noises from the vehicle. The exhaust may require minor adjustment.
  10. When the exhaust is properly adjusted, securely tighten all clamps and enjoy the ride.
